Anton (Tony) Paul, 78, Mandan, died December 11, 2015 in Bismarck.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan, ND with Rev. Shane Campbell as celebrant. Burial will be at Mandan Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2015 from 3:00-9:00 pm at Weigel Funeral Home, with a Rosary/Parish Vigil at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Tony was born September 19, 1937 in Morton County, the son of Joseph Paul and Francisca (Hoffman). He was raised and educated in the St. Anthony area. He married Elaine (Bethke) on June 17, 1961 in St. Anthony, ND. They made their home in Mandan where they raised their four children. Tony was an avid carpenter for 19 years and a cement finisher. His career was a Boilermaker thus, was active in the local Boilermakers Union 647 for 30 years, retiring in 2002. Tony was also a member of the Mandan Moose Club.

Tony loved fishing, camping, and travelling, seeing relatives around the USA. In his travels he was amazed at the beauty of the mountains. He used his carpentry skills making all kinds of wood crafts for his kids and grandchildren. This special man will be dearly missed and will always be remembered for his loving devotion to family, friends, and community.

Tony will be deeply missed by his daughters, Teresa (Richard) Seeman, Mandan, Loraine (Ron) Bosch, Mandan, Melinda (Lynn) Petersen, Bismarck; son, Anthony (Julie) Paul, Mandan; sisters, Perpetua (Patty) Mildenberger, Mandan, Clara Markel, Mandan; brother, Nick (Rosemary) Paul, Cody, WY; sisters-in-law, Hildegard (Gardy) Paul, Mandan, Eileen Paul, Mandan; 6 grandchildren, Amanda (Stan) VanSlyck, Wayne (Carrie) Seeman, Justin Paul, Mitchell Bosch, Cody & Courtney Petersen; 5 great-grandchildren, Bailee, Rykia, JayLynn, Jace & MacKenzie, and one on the way.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elaine who died in July 8, 2009; sisters, Kathryn (Harry) Kottsick, Margaret (Peter) Fried; brother-in-laws, Egnatz Markel, Steven Mildenberger; brothers, Joe (Monica) Paul, Jack (Margaret) Paul, John (Frances) Paul, George (Frances) Paul, Fabin Paul, Peter Paul, and Leo Paul; pet dogs,“The Boys” Scooter and Sparky.
