Anna Volk

Anna Volk, 89, Flasher, died October 30, 2017 at Elm Crest Manor in New Salem.

Anna Marie was born June 2, 1928 to Philip and Magdelena (Hersch) Ternes in Sheilds, ND.  She married Baseleus Volk November 12, 1946 at St. Gertrudes, Raleigh, ND.  They lived in Minnesota a few years on a dairy farm and later moved back to North Dakota to start their own farm and dairy in the Raleigh, ND area until they retired and moved to Flasher, ND.

She enjoyed playing cards, especially whist with friends, cooking, baking, trips to the casino, and coffee time with family and who ever would stop by for a visit.

They raised 11 children; Ruby Slickers, Gainsville, Virginia, Aggie (Ervin) Ruscheinsky, Mandan ND, Mary Stites, Gainsville, Virginia, Seymour (Lawana) Belle Foursche, South Dakota, Gertie (Marvin) Ruscheinsky, Raleigh ND, Simon (Jan), Spearfish, SD, Isabelle (Dalen) Kroft, Mandan ND, Michael (Linda), Bismarck ND, Bennett, Flasher, ND, Dominic (Vicky), Mandan, ND, Monica (Jay) Ruscheinsky, Carson, ND; 28 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Leander Ternes, Idaho, Virginia Ternes, Reno, Nevada, and Ray Ternes, New Leipzig, ND.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Baseleus (Bud), one brother, Augustine, one sister, Alice, and son-in-law, Mark Slickers.

The family would like to thank the staff and residents at Elm Crest Manor in New Salem for the great care and wonderful friendships Anna had.
