Anna Marie “Ann” Kraft, 89, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at Edgewood Village in Mandan. 

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 AM on Monday, January 6, 2025, at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Selfridge with Msgr. Chad Gion celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Philomena Cemetery in Selfridge. 

Visitation will be held from 3-5 PM on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at BUEHLER-LARSON Funeral Home, 1701 Sunset Drive, Mandan, with a Parish Rosary/Vigil at 5 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.

Ann was born June 1, 1935, the daughter of Ben and Regina (Bachmeier) Hartman. She came to the Selfridge area in 1953, from Shields, ND, to work at Feist Grocery Store.

Pete and Ann were married October 19, 1954, at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Selfridge. To this marriage 5 children were born: Vernon, Brenda, Colleen, Glenda, and Lisa.

For 48 years Ann was the dedicated wife of a dairy farmer. She made sure all was taken care of around the home and the farm. Once she and Pete sold the cows, Ann started cooking at the Senior Center in addition to working part-time as a cook at Selfridge High School.  She was known as one of the best German cooks in Selfridge. People came from miles around to eat at the Senior Center when they knew she was making creamed chicken and strudels.

Ann is survived by her family, including her husband Pete of 70 years; son, Vernon (Kelly) Kraft; daughters, Colleen (Randy) Volk, Glenda (Wayne) Stoecker, and Lisa (Steve) Hepper; grandchildren, Rusty Kraft, Misty (Derek) Salazar, Kris (Taylor) Jochim, Tanner (Caitlin) Stoecker, Taylor (Kendria) Stoecker, Ashley (Bill) Jochim, and Tanya (Ron) Crayton; great-grandchildren, Saylem, Reeves, Rhoads and Rexton Salazar, Jack, Loden, Kylie, and Ashleigh Jochim, Maverick, Eloise, Phoebe, and Hudson Stoecker, Cali, Mila, and Lainey Jochim, and Anna and Brettley Crayton; sister, Bernadette (George) Schaeffer; brother, Norm Hartman; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Matt (Jeannie) Kraft.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Peggy Justesen; daughter, Brenda; brother, Victor Hartman; grandson, Brett Hepper; son-in-law, Speed Jochim; and great-granddaughters, Riley and Oakley Kraft.
