Ann Bullinger was born on October 20, 1915 in St. Anthony, ND to Mike and Pauline (Berger) Bullinger. She attended St. Anthony Catholic School and worked on the family farm. On July 4, 1936, Ann married Ernest Cermak in St. Anthony. Together they lived and worked on the family farm SW of Mandan until 1960. With a strong work ethic, Ann ran a daycare business. Ernest and Ann would often go dancing. They were especially fond of a good Waltz or Polka. In her free time, Ann worked on puzzles of any kind. Gardening was a labor of love for her, with many hours spent canning. Content with whatever she had, Ann never complained and appreciated life. Family and faith were very important to Ann. She always looked forward to Sunday family dinners.
Ann will be deeply missed by her daughters, Erna Schmidt and Debbie (Rick Kruckenberg), both of Mandan; Edna (Wesley) Miska, Springfield, MO; sons, Duane (Jan) and Vernon (Sheryl), both of Bismarck; Cleon (Karen), New Leipzig; 23 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest in 2000; infant son, James; grandson, Darnell Cermak; son-in-law, Gregor Schmidt; two sisters and eight brothers.
