Adeline M. Ziniel, 78, Mandan, passed away November 3, 2017 at CHI St. Alexius Health in Bismarck.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Christ the King, Mandan, ND with Rev. Chris Kadrmas as celebrant. Burial will be at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Weigel Funeral Home, with a Women of the Moose ritual at 6:30 pm followed by a Rosary and Parish Vigil. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
Adeline was born October 22, 1939 in Crown Butte, ND to George R. Zander and Magdalena (Hellman). She was raised and educated in Judson and the Crown Butte area and later moved to Mandan. Adeline married Raymond L. Ziniel February 19, 1966 in Mandan, ND.
Adeline always enjoyed time spent with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Adeline looked forward to going to the Medora Musical. Her hobbies included embroidery, pinochle, flower gardening, baking, and canning. She was an active member of the Mandan Women of the Moose. Adeline loved old time music and polka. Adeline was a devoted wife, mother, and friend. Her zest for life will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Adeline will be deeply missed by her daughters, Renee (LaMonte) Kramlich, Bismarck; Michelle (Stacy) Usselmann, Mandan, RaeAnne (fiancé Bryan Wangen) Johnson, Lincoln; son, Dale, Mandan; sisters, Clara (Matt) Sturn, Bismarck, DeLores Frohnauer, Mandan; brothers and sisters-in-law, Nick (MaryLou) Zander, Irene Zander, Dorothy Zander, all of Seattle, WA; 8 grandchildren, Kristy, Brent, Kayla, Liz, Cole, Samantha, Brittany, Makayla, and step-grandchild, Evan; 6 great-grandchildren, Kyler, Jayden, Kaitlyn, Winry, Madison, and Michael.
Adeline was preceded in death by her parents, George and Magdalena; her husband, Raymond L. Ziniel on May 22, 1996; brothers, Louie, Harry, Ray, John and brother-in-law, Richard Frohnauer.
In lieu of flowers, donate memorials to the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.
